Arbor Gate
The project consists of two six-story composite steel framed office buildings and a four-story precast concrete parking structure linked by enclosed, steel framed pedestrian bridges. Composite steel framing was selected for the buildings to minimize interior columns and increase ceiling heights while lateral stability is provided by concrete shear walls at stair towers to maintain brace-free elevations around the buildings’ glazed perimeter. The combination of 32' wide x 36'-40' long composite framed bays with concrete shear walls provides efficient, open interior space. Conventional spread footings support the two 100,000 square feet office buildings and 590 stall parking structure.
