Pierce Engineers, Inc. (PE), a structural engineering firm, announced the opening of their Chicago office. Since 1991, Pierce Engineers, Inc. has grown a national practice offering expertise in a wide range of building types from its headquarters in Milwaukee, WI and an additional office in Madison, WI. PE has cultivated strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, and contractors – by collaboratively providing innovative yet practical structural engineering solutions. Recent projects include the BMO Tower, a 25-story corporate office building in Milwaukee, WI, Rise at Chauncy, a 16-story student housing development in West Lafayette, IN, and Maine Veterans' Homes, a 179,000-square-foot senior residence in Augusta, ME.

On expanding in Chicago, Pierce Engineers’ President and Managing Principal Randy Elliott said,

"We are excited to launch our office with great local engineers joining our team, in a market we have worked in since the start of our firm. Clients and partners have asked us to be here, and with its broad market and recognition as a hub for the building industry – Chicago is the ideal place to expand PE’s growing practice.”

Jonathan Sladek, Vice President of the Chicago Office adds, “PE’s ‘can-do’ engineering approach is a natural fit in Chicago. Our growing team here builds upon the firm’s diverse services – and brings added expertise and local experience. I’m thrilled to leverage this combination to help Chicago clients find value-driven structural solutions. Sladek has built his 21-year career structuring significant and wide-ranging projects in Chicago and beyond and is joined by Tim Winter, Ezra Hilton, Reza Rahimi, Alex Teglia, and Alex Schleis. Prior to joining PE, collectively their Chicago work has included Wolf Point West Tower, 300 N Michigan, Mansueto Library at the University of Chicago, GEMS World Academy, 110 N Wacker, and the Old Chicago Post Office repositioning.

Projects already underway in the Chicago area include a new school expansion at North Shore Country Day School, the Element at Veridian on the former Motorola campus, and the long-awaited District 1860 project in Lincolnwood.
